The first step is to install a Adamas theme. To do this, we need to perform four actions. Well, let's start!

1. Download and install Wordpress

Adamas is a WordPress theme, so make sure that you have already installed the WordPress 4.6.0 or higher. If this is not done yet, go to WordPress download page and download WordPress archive.

Recommended hosting requirements:

  • PHP 5.6 or greater
  • MySQL 5.6 or greater
  • The mod_rewrite Apache module
  • PHP memory limit 256 MB

2. Download Adamas theme package

Download your Adamas Theme from account on ThemeForest on the download page, and then save the file on your desktop. This is how the file will look like.

3. Unzipping Adamas theme package

Use the zip program. Unzip the downloaded theme Adamas on your computer and you will see a folder Adamas_wp_theme. Pass on the folder Adamas_wp_theme. There are such folders as "Documentation", "Licensing", "Icon packs" and file "". This archive will be used to create Adamas Wordpress Theme. For convenience, move the "" to your desktop.

4. Uploading Adamas WordPress theme

Now we will set the theme Adamas on a content management system Wordpress. This can be done in two ways.

First, BACKUP YOUR FILES! This is always the safest thing to do.


  • Log into your Wordpress site. Enter to the administrative area. When you get to your dashboard, find on the left side the panel "Appearance", and point on it. You will see a drop-down list. It looks like this.


    Click on the "Themes" and you will see the next.


    You pass away to the zone template management. Click on "Add New", then "Upload Theme" and you will see the next:

    Now you are ready to download the theme Adamas on the platform of Wordpress. Click on "Browse" and find the file "" on your desktop. Choose this archive.


    Then click "Install Now" and wait for the installation message. * Note: The installation will probably take a few minutes, so please be patient. When the installation is finished, under the words "Theme installed successfully" you will see a number of functions. Click on "Activate" to activate your Adamas Theme. You can return to the section "Appearance". Here, click on Adamas Theme and go to the module topic. Then click on "Activate" and your WP theme Adamas becomes active.

    Now we'll tell you how to make installation of Adamas theme another way.


  • Remember! BACKUP YOUR FILES! This is always the safest thing to do.

    Next, download and install any FTP-Client. For example, FileZilla.

    After installing FileZilla, open it. You will see this window:

    Open Filezilla

    Enter your data in the fields "Host", "Username" and "Password". Then click on "Quickconnect" and Filezilla will connect to server directory.


    Now unzip on your desktop, select "Extract here". You need to transfer the folder "adamas" on your web hosting directory public_html / wp-content / themes /. To do this find the desktop and the folder "adamas" on the right side of Filezilla. And on the left side, select the directory public_html / wp-content / themes /. Now upload the folder "adamas" from the right side to the left. Like this:


    So you load your theme Adamas on web hosting. It remains to activate the theme via the Control Panel Appearance / Themes, as mentioned earlier.

    5. Installing and activating required plugins

    After theme activation, in WordPress dashboard you can see dialog box. This feature helps you to quickly and easily install the necessary plugins for the Adamas theme. Click on "Begin installing plugins" (see image below) and you move to a page with a complete list of installed plugins.


    Now select «All the plugins» (p.1 on image below). Select «Install» and click on the «Apply» (p.2 and 3 on image below) - now plugins will be automatically installed.


    After installing plugins, they must be activated. To do this, select all plugins (p.1 on image below) and click on "Activate" and "Apply" (p.2 and 3 on image below).


    The installation process is finished. It is possible that some plugins asking for update.

    Please, check compatibility of updated plugins before updating. Premium plugins updates will be provided with theme updates.

    6. Updating theme and plugins

    Make sure you've backed up all files and database before updating.

    1. To update Adamas theme, go to Dashboard > Appearance > Themes. Activate another theme (e.g. Twenty Seventeen).


    2-3. Click on Adamas theme and delete it.

    4. Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Themes and click "Add theme".


    5. On this page, click button "Upload theme".


    6. Choose file "" from theme package and click "Install now".


    7. Wait until installation is finished successfully. After that click "Activate".


    After theme updating you need to refresh your style files. Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Theme Options and click "Save Changes".

    Plugin update

    8. To update plugin, go to Dashboard > Plugins > Installed plugins and click deactivate on plugin you want to update.


    9. Then click delete on plugin you want to update.


    10. You will see notification at top of the page. Click "Begin activating plugin". Follow steps to install and activate new version of plugin.
